My name is Tori Higham (that is me in the photos), I’m a devoted Mum to my amazing kid Oliver (but I know all parents say that 
), fun loving, out going and up untill recently Fat!!
At age 19 I was a size 16 and weighed 13 stone. Both my parents were quite large and the portions on our dinner table could have fed fifteen people rather than the 4 sat around it!
By 1997 when I was 22 I found out I was pregnant; I had already put on a lot of weight by this stage and being pregnant gave me a way of excusing my extra weight. My labour was induced, I was weighed by the midwife so she could calculate the amount of pain killers to prescribe, I was shocked when she told me I was over 17 stone L
I tried so hard to Lose Weight, but I was the Queen of the Yoyo diet… I have a destructive binge-diet pattern. So, I visited my doctor and begged to be put on Diet Pill. I started on a course of fat blocker tablets which stop your body absorbing fat. I kept to a healthy eating plan and did lose a bit of weight, but there were some major side effects. The fat that your body does not absorb has to go somewhere and usually that is down your toilet! The tablets gave me bad stomach ache and attacks of diahorrea had become frequent and I had some very scary near misses with the side effects at social occasions!
My weight was really affecting my quality of life. I wasn’t able to do sporty play with Oliver, going out with friends became embarrassing and clothes shopping was ghastly! Trying clothes on and sitting in the changing room in tears as the top I really wanted didn’t fit and they didn’t make them in any bigger sizes. Only being able to use Plus sized clothes shops, being limited to certain fashions for big women, no sexy underwear for girls like me.
I was a size 24, 19st 13lb and I had ENOUGH. I needed to learn how to lose weight fast!
